Richard went to join the Lord on Tuesday May 27, 2008 after a struggle with his fragile heart. He was 23 years old. Richard was an easy to get along with person and was liked by the people that he knew. He was a big fan of the Forty-Niners and the A's in baseball. Richard was a member of St. Mary's Church and The Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing Little League Baseball from 4 to 12 years of age. He leaves behind his parents Richard and Veronica Mesa, his two sisters Venus Mesa and Veronica Kozlowski, his girlfriend Naomi Garcia, his two brothers-in-law, Scott Kozlowski and Chris Palacios, six nephews, five nieces and many cousins, uncles and aunts. Richard is at peace now and will be missed but he will live in our hearts forever. Services will be held at Habing Family Funeral Home on Thursday June 5, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. with Mass on Friday June 6, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Church
Was born and raised in Hollister and has passed in Alameda County where he resided. He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Viola Magladry Blacklock in 2005. He is survived by sons and their spouses: Kenneth & Carol, Rodney & Elizabeth, and Paul & Christine. Services were on April 25th.
William "Bill" M. Duggan, III, passed away last Sunday, in Hollister, at the age of 63. He was born in San Jose and resided most of his life in Sunnyvale until moving to Hollister 10 years ago. Bill was owner and operator of Duggan Roofing in Mountain View. He was a former member of the Palo Alto Elks Lodge and also held his private and commercial pilot's license. He is survived by his children, Jewel Piazza of Hollister and Will Duggan, IV of Los Angeles, and his mother, Betty Duggan of Gilroy. Brother of Elizabeth Caldwell of Santa Cruz, Mary Jane Coppel of Gilroy, Mark Duggan of Wyoming, Robert Duggan and the late Thomas Duggan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Aurora Pena, long time resident of Gilroy, passed away May 23, 2008. Funeral Mass will be held Friday 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Gilroy with burial to follow.
