Peter F. Costa passed away Monday evening at Mabie Southside Skilled Nursing Facility in Hollister at the age of 76. He was born and resided in Hollister all his life. Peter was a local dairyman and farmer for nearly 50 years. He was a Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and also was an avid pedro card player. Peter is survived by his wife, Romana of Hollister. Father of Henry Costa, fiance, Sue, of Merced, Nancy DeLaRosa, Teddy Costa, companion, Renee, all of Hollister. Grandfather of Rachelle DeLaRosa of Hollister. Brother of Charles Costa of Hollister and the late George Costa. Uncle of George Costa, Jr., Marilyn Costa and Walter Festaro. He is also survived by his close friend, Bob Glover of Morgan Hill.
Ken went to be with the Lord April 10, 2008 at age 81. Born in Easton, CA, he also lived in Milpitas, San Jose, and Hollister. Beloved husband of Virginia for 55 years, he also leaves behind 3 daughters, Cathy Cornell, Cheri Acosta, Charlotte Yep, and 6 grandchildren.
Patrick Murphy, a multi-talented man, passed away April 7, 2008 in Falls Church, Virginia. He was 89 years old. "Pat" was born in Farmersville, California and spent about 9 years in the Gilroy area until 2003. He was the last surviving sibling of seven. His sister and long-time resident of Gilroy, Veda Clark, passed away in 2006.
Hijinio Garcia, Sr. passed away last Tuesday at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Garcia of Hollister, 6 children and several grandchildren. Private graveside services were held last Friday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Send condolences to www.grunnagle.com

Baker, a native of Brookfield, MO, passed away April 11, 2008 in Sunnyvale. he was the husband of the late Marcella Baker, father of Sharon Elaine Williams (Harold) of San Jose, CA, Gail Fournier (Michael) of Sunnyvale, CA. Grandfather of Michael Britton (Rebecca) of Arroyo Grande, CA, Marlene Bocanegra of San Jose, Jason Williams (Jamie) of Tucumcari, New Mexico, Amy Williams of San Jose, Rebekah Williams of McMinnville, OR and Dale Williams of Madras, OR. Great-grandfather of 8. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Loralee was a longtime Gilroy resident, most recently of Newman, CA. Services are on Thursday beginning with a 9:00 A.M. viewing followed by a funeral at 10:00 A.M both at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7999 Miller Ave., Gilroy. Burial will follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Gustine.
Gordon S. Hunter passed away Thursday, April 10, 2007 in San Jose, CA he was 87 years of age. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gracia Hunter of Gilroy. He is the father of Tom and his wife Judy Hunter of Mountain View, grandfather of Thomas Carl Hunter, Kristine Ann and husband Jason Gamble all of Mountain View, James Timothy Hunter of Gilroy and Rosella Hunter of Maryland, and their mother, Maureen Hunter, great-grandfather of Amada Anne Gamble, and Carson Thomas Gamble both of Mountain View. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Tom Arnberg of Arvada, CO and Charleen Arnberg of Gilroy. Preceded in death by his son Timothy Hunter. Mr. Hunter retired from PG & E in 1982 after 38 years. He was an officer in the Gilroy Elks for over 20 years, past Master of the Masons Keith Lodge #187, past commander of American Legion Post 669, and longtime member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Gilroy. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 10:00 A.M. at St. Stephens' Episcopal Church with Military Honors Services to follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park. Donations in his memory to the California-Hawaiian Elks Major Projects, St. Stephens' Episcopal Church or a favorite charity are preferred and appreciated.
Eric and Luis Gomez Arriola died at birth in Hollister. The twin boys are the sons of Luis Arriola and Erica Gomez of Hollister. Graveside services were held on Thursday April 10, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Cemetery. Jose and Eulogia Perez officiated.
