San Benito County native Kirk Ward will stage his one-man show “3 Stories Tall,” at El Teatro Campesino in San Juan Bautista.
Ward uses comedy and drama to portray a young man’s search for passion, identity and purpose.
The story tells of Kirk, full of hopes and dreams, deciding to leave his hometown, and winding up dropping out of junior college, working as a shoe salesman and returning to Hollister to live with his scissor-wielding grandmother. Kirk flees to Los Angeles and then finds himself in the middle of the Nevada desert with his estranged father and a killer on the run named Troy.
The show opens April 22 and runs until May 2.
Saturday matinees are at 2 p.m.; Sunday matinees are at 3 p.m.; and evening performances are at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for students and seniors and are available at the box office.
