DEAR EDITOR:
On behalf of the Piece by Piece Quilt Guild of Morgan Hill I would like to thank members of our communities who attended our first quilt show, Saturday in Morgan Hill. The guild is made up of members from the Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Hollister and South San Jose areas.
We estimate that over 500 people attended and enjoyed our show at the Grange Hall.
An event like this does not happen without the help and support of many people.
We would like to thank Dave Peoples for his talent and donation of the embroidery done on one of our opportunity raffle quilts. We would like the thank the Habing family for the white gloves used by our volunteers to help show attendees examine the quilts displayed more closely. Thank you to the Grange Hall in Morgan Hill for the generous use of your building. It was a perfect setting for a quilt show. Thank you to The Dispatch for the articles and letting our communities know about us.
Finally, many thanks to our guild members and their families for the help and support. Our show was a great success and we couldn’t have done it alone. Hopefully this will be the first of many quilt shows displaying the creativity and talent of our members.
