GILROY – Los Pistoleros slipped past No Soup 4 You 1-0 Tuesday at Christmas Hill Park to improve to 5-0 in second-half Men’s DD Softball League play.
Maciel Urenda tripled and scored on an infield out in the fifth inning to account for the scoring in the battle of second-half unbeatens. No Soup 4 You is 3-1 in second place.
Rick Trujillo and Joel Lopez each mustered two hits for Los Pistoleros. Sam Juarez accounted for two of six singles produced by No Soup 4 You.
Rich Hernandez lined three singles and Frank Navarrete scored three runs to lead the Loco Boys (3-1) by Walton & Sons Masonry 9-4. Willie Maquinalez stroked a two-run single for Walton & Sons.
Silicon Valley Concrete is 2-2 after a 14-7 decision over Claddagh Brew Crew.
Matt Coughlin hit a lead-off home run and Jose Rodriguez posted a grand slam and two singles for the Concrete attack. John Weberg tripled and singled for Claddagh.
Team Hair FX moved into a tie for first in the Co-Rec C League at 4-0 with Hi-Energy Networks by topping Anritsu 12-9 Tuesday at Las Animas Park.
Ryan Boyd collected three hits and Jason Mesa scored three runs for Team Hair FX. Dave Soto homered and Ray Avena went 3-for-3 for Anritsu.
Barb Lemberger’s RBI-single in the sixth inning gave Out to Play-Pro Electric a 4-3 victory over the Big Kahunas. Louie Bobadilla and Lemberger each accounted for two hits for the winners. Spencer Straub went 3-for-3 for the Big Kahunas.
Rush Order struck for six runs in the top of the ninth inning to edge El Fuego 15-11. Elizabeth Aguilar anchored the Rush Order rally with a two-run double. Emiliano Sanchez came off the Rush bench to stroke three extra-base hits. Myrna Rodriguez paced El Fuego with three hits.
Self Made clinched at least a tie for the second-half Men’s C crown by trimming DeHaro Mechanicals 10-7 Monday.
Brian Collom homered and Willie Gamboa stroked a triple, double, single and sacrifice fly for Self Made (4-0). Andrew Ornelas went 3-for-3 for DeHaro Mechanicals.
Raul Bueno went 4-for-4 and scored three runs to highlight a 12-7 Dirty Dozen win over DS Builders. Justin Nicholson homered and Chris Salter went 3-for-3 for DS Builders.
Brenda Horder Farmers Insurance-Dee’z Nutz rolled by Team Guerrero 20-3 to reach 4-0 in Men’s BB play Monday. Memo Lopez and Bobby Reggiani each went 4-for-4 for the winners. Fred McCasland hit a two-run single for Team Guerrero (0-3).
Los Gigantes blanked CenCal Auto Body 21-0 to leave both clubs at 1-2. Eddie Vargas went 4-for-4 with two homers, Gino Martinez 4-for-4 with one homer.
Pacific Coast Bail Bonds scored six runs in the top of the eighth inning to defeat Team Wicked 16-11 Wednesday in Men’s CC play at Christmas Hill.
Norm MacVicar snapped the 10-10 tie with an RBI-single and Joel Gaeta finished the rally with a two-run homer as the Bondsmen reached 4-0. Mitch MacVicar (4-for-4) homered for the winners. Toby Reyes went 3-for-4 and scored three runs for Wicked.
So Juicy-Vets are 3-1 after a 13-7 decision over Cali Auto. Julian Castaneda, Daniel Montenegro and James Furtado hit Vet homers. Greg Lugo hit a two-run Cali double.
Matt Elam’s two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh pulled Blackout Window Tinting into an 11-11 tie with Dutchman’s, but the Pizzamen recovered with four runs in the eighth to earn a 15-11 decision.
Joe Ojeda homered to help the Players by the Hit Men 8-5. Mike Maggiora homered for the Hit Men.
