The Gilroy Police Department made arrests for a variety of crimes the past week, including burglary, vehicle theft, possession of a stun gun and the sale of stolen property. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between Nov. 30 and Dec. 7. All suspects remain innocent until proven guilty, and an appearance in the arrest log does not signify guilt for the listed crime/s.
Burglary
-Shea Bigelow, 23, Dec. 5 at 1:16 a.m. near the intersection of Wren Avenue and First Street for felony second-degree burglary and felony vehicle theft with a prior conviction
Driving under the influence
-Javier Astorga, 21, Nov. 30 at 10:43 p.m. on the 7000 block of Miller Avenue for one misdemeanor charge.
-Roberto Serrano, 46, Dec. 4 at 11:56 p.m. on the 6300 block of Monterey Road for DUI and driving while unlicensed.
-Alejandro Chavez Ibarra, 27, Dec. 7 at 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey and Eighth Streets for DUI and possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
-Gabriel Montes Hurtado, 39, Dec. 7 at 3:20 a.m. near the intersection of Third and Hanna streets for DUI, driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher and driving while unlicensed.
-Francisco Blas, 18, Dec. 6 at 9:41 p.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and Forest Street for DUI and driving with a BAC of .08 or higher.
Driving violations
-Amy Cortez, 40, Dec. 1 at 4:55 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for expired registration, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility.
-Martin Guzman, 50, Dec. 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for five charges of driving with privileges suspended or revoked, failure to notify the DMV as a new owner, improper lighting and two charges of using a cell phone while driving.
-Erika Perez, 21, Dec. 3 at 10:25 a.m. near the crossing of Camino Arroyo and Lindsteadt Way for driving with privileges suspended or revoked, failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility and expired registration.
-Juan Rios, 36, Dec. 5 at 6:09 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for driving with privileges suspended or revoked, failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility and failure to stop.
Grand theft
-Heather Hawkins, 28, Dec. 5 at 5:40 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for felony grand theft of $400 or more.

-Victoria Diaz, 40, Nov. 30 at 6:21 p.m. on the 8200 block of Murray Avenue for felony sale or aiding in the sale of stolen property, battery against a spouse, cohabitant or friend and driving on a suspended license.
-Alfredo Lopez, 38, Dec. 1 at 12:50 a.m. on the 900 block of First Street for resisting, delaying or obstructing police and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
-Raymond Martinez, 26, Nov. 30 at 10:15 p.m. on the 600 block of Holloway Road fore resisting, delaying or obstructing police, vandalism and trespassing.
-Patrick Filice, 54, Dec. 1 at 2:12 a.m. on the 8100 block of Las Animas Court for petty theft, trespassing and felony re-arrest for probation violation.

-Raul Resendez, 46, Dec. 4 at 8:10 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for one misdemeanor charge and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Edwin Regalado, 26, Dec. 6 at 1:24 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey Street and Martin Avenue for one misdemeanor charge and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Jerry Mungaray, 34, Dec. 7 at 1:26 p.m. on the 9000 block of Murray Avenue for two felony charges and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
