Police blotter

Juan Luna, 38, of the 7300 block of Maple Street, 1:27 a.m.
Monday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., for being
under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a
dangerous weapon, parole hold and resisting a peace officer. Luna
came into the police station to report an identification theft, but
then told clerks and officers that he was

tweaking on drugs.

When officers tried to take away two concealed knives
– both of which had blades longer than two inches – Luna pulled
away and charged at an officer. Officers subdued him and arrested
him.
Driving with a suspended license

Corena Contreras, 30, of the 7200 block of Monterey Street, 1:12 a.m. Monday, at 7237 Monterey St. on a warrant.

Jose Negrete, 19, of the 100 block of Southgate Court, 1:10 p.m. Monday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on a warrant.

Octavio Farias, 28, of the 800 block of Woodcreek Way, 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on warrants for driving with a suspended license, driving with a defective windshield and improper plates.

Possession of a controlled substance

Rolando Delgado, 20, of the 400 block of Eighth Street, 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, near Seventh and Eigleberry streets for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Parole hold

Jonathan Rivera, 19, of Sacramento, 10 a.m. Tuesday, along Eigleberry Street.

Battery

Joseph Garibaldi, 31, of the 7300 block of Forest Street, 11:24 p.m. Tuesday, near Forest and Martin streets for threatening to commit a violent crime, violating a court order preventing domestic violence and battery.

Driving without a license

Jose Vargas, 21, of the 900 block of Andover Place, 9:09 p.m. Tuesday, near Church and Tenth streets on warrants for driving without a license, failure to appear in court, not wearing a seat belt, driving without insurance and driving without lights.

False impersonation

Erasmo Flores, 49, of the 8400 block of Murray Avenue, 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, at his residence for parole hold and false impersonation

Burglary

Yesenia Sernaavila, 18, of San Juan Bautista, 4:38 p.m. Tuesday, at an unspecified location on Camino Arroyo.

Stephanie Pina, 27, of San Jose, 10:34 p.m. Monday, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, for burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.

George Vasquez, 21, of the 7000 block of Orchard Drive, 10:35 p.m. Monday, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, for burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime and theft.

Being under the influence of a controlled substance and/or alcohol
