The Gilroy Police Department recently made arrests for a variety of crimes, including possession of ammunition by a felon, trespassing, vandalism and inflicting bodily damage on a spouse. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between Sept. 22 and 29. All suspects remain innocent until proven guilty.
Burglary
-Danny Granados, 37, Sept. 22 at 10:26 p.m. near the intersection of Ninth and Church streets for felony second-degree burglary and felony petty theft with three or more priors.
Child endangerment
-Amado Hernandez, 46, Sept. 28 at 9:10 p.m. on the 7300 block of Maple Street for three charges of child endangerment involving unjust pain or suffering and vandalism with damages less than $400.
Conspiracy to commit a crime
-Cassandra Huerta, 22, Sept. 21 at 6:27 p.m. on the 8300 block of Arroyo Circle for felony conspiracy and felony forgery.
Domestic violence
-Abraham Hernandez, 28, Sept. 22 at 1:10 a.m. on the 7400 block of Monterey Street for felony false imprisonment, felony threats to commit a crime resulting in injury or death, felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant and battery against a spouse, cohabitant or friend.
-Jose Coronado, 28, Sept. 23 at 11:18 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey and Eighth streets for battery against a spouse, cohabitant or friend and violation of a court order in a domestic violence case.
-Robert Lippert, 46, Sept. 25 at 4:30 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for battery against a spouse, cohabitant or friend.
Driving under the influence
-Justo Montes, 43, Sept. 23 at 2:02 p.m. on the 7200 block of Carmel Street for DUI, felony driving in willful disregard of safety, driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher and driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
-Alejandro Corona, 21, Sept. 27 at 2:10 a.m. near the intersection of Eigleberry and Sixth streets for DUI and driving with a BAC of .08 or higher.
-Tracy Nickerson, 53, Sept. 27 at 3:44 a.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and Arroyo Circle for DUI.
-Jose Landeros, 46, Sept. 26 at 11:22 p.m. on the 7500 block of Monterey Street for DUI and driving with a BAC of .08 or higher.
Multiple charges
-Antioco Bello, 34, Sept. 21 at 7:54 p.m. on the 400 block of 10th Street for operating without a business license, driving while unlicensed and hit and run with property damage.
-Taneisha Merritt, 32, Sept. 22 at 5:18 p.m. on the 300 block of 10th Street for possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance, petty theft and resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer.
-Adam Stotesbury, 41, Sept. 23 at 2:24 a.m. near the intersection of Lewis and Chestnut streets for petty theft of personal property and battery.
-Lorrie Mertz, 48, Sept. 28 at 10:19 p.m. near the intersection of Third and Eigleberry streets for DUI, second-degree burglary, vandalism and resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer.
Outstanding warrants
-Apryl Diaz, 39, Sept. 26 at 9:05 p.m. on the 100 block of Hornlein Court for four outstanding warrants: felony possession of a stolen vehicle, felony buying of wire or metal illegally, felony possession of a controlled substance and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, among other charges.
Petty theft of personal property
-Debra Ruiz, 28, Sept. 26 at 3:30 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department.
-Moises Villasenor, 31, Sept. 28 at 2:05 a.m. near the intersection of Sixth and Monterey streets for petty theft of personal property and two charges for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Juan Lopez, 18, Sept. 29 at 8:45 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department.
Possession of ammunition by a felon
-Mark Ashford, 38, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Church and Sixth streets for one felony charge and driving with a suspended license.
Possession of a controlled substance
-Victor Vaca, 29, Sept. 23 at 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Alexander and Martin streets for possession of a controlled substance and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Robert Barbosa, 53, Sept. 25 at 10:43 p.m. near the intersection of Murray Avenue and Chestnut Street.
-Louie Vallez, 26, Sept. 26 at 4:34 p.m. on the 400 block of Leavesley Road for one felony charge.
-Valerie Chavez, 23, Sept. 27 at 11:18 p.m. on the 7500 block of Alexander Street for one felony charge.
-Diego Jauregui, 37, Sept. 28 at 10:04 p.m. on the 700 block of First Street for one felony charge and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
-Ramiro Flores, 44, Sept. 28 at 8:57 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for one felony charge.
Possession of a switchblade knife
-Jorge Chavez, 21, Sept. 22 at 8:43 p.m. near the intersection of First and Princevalle streets.
-Steven Nava, 18, Sept. 25 at 3:03 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for possession of a switchblade knife and petty theft.
Trespassing
-Roberta Sambrano, 49, Sept. 22 at 12:37 a.m. on the 7700 block of Monterey Road for trespassing and disorderly conduct—lodging without the consent of a property owner.
Under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance
-Gregory Lopez, 48, Sept. 22 at 2:45 a.m. on the 9300 block of Monterey Road.
-Derrick Meyer, 52, Sept. 23 at 2:13 a.m. on the 700 block of First Street.
-Luis Gonzalez Jimenez, 34, Sept. 25 at 1:11 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey and 10th streets.
Use of or being under the influence of a controlled substance
-Regina Martinez, 33, Sept. 28 at 2:38 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey and Pierce streets.
Vandalism
-Amanda Barbaglia, 29, Sept. 22 at 9:30 a.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for vandalism with damages less than $400.
-Alejandro Hernandez, 20, Sept. 24 at 12:14 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey Street and Leavesley Road for felony vandalism with damages over $50,000.
Violation of a court order to prevent domestic violence
-Cesar Cervantes, 30, Sept. 28 at 6:58 p.m. on the 1100 block of Driftwood Terrace.
Violation of a protective order
-Francisco Villalba, 37, Sept. 29 at 5:15 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department.
Drinking in public
-Javier Marquez, 28, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department.
Driving violations
-Jose Luctero, 42, Sept. 22 at 1:50 p.m. near the intersection of 10th and Chestnut streets for failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility, driving with a suspended license and expired registration.
