The Gilroy Police Department recently made a variety of arrests for crimes including prowling, child endangerment, first-degree burglary, driving under the influence and identity theft. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between Sept. 8 and 15.
Battery
-Carol Lawless, 54, Sept. 15 at 8 a.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for one misdemeanor charge.
Burglary
-Joseph Velador, 22, Sept. 11 at 10:09 p.m. on the 7300 block of Maple Street for felony first-degree burglary, felony second-degree burglary and petty theft of personal property.
-Jessica Ortiz, 24, Sept. 12 at 12:45 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for felony second-degree burglary.
-Rafael Guardado, 52, Sept. 12 at 11:45 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for felony first-degree burglary.
-Monica Applegate, 32, Sept. 14 at 1:50 p.m. near the intersection of Camino Arroyo and Renz Lane for two felony charges of first-degree burglary and felony possession of a controlled substance.
-Matthew Blacknell, 28, Sept. 14 at 1:50 p.m. near the intersection of Camino Arroyo and Renz Lane for two felony charges of first-degree burglary and felony possession of a controlled substance.

-Salina Hernandez, 37, Sept. 11 at 10:45 p.m. on the 7300 block of Maple Street for three misdemeanor charges.
Domestic violence
-Araecli Alvarado, 19, Sept. 11 at 7:31 p.m. on the 1100 block of Driftwood Terrace for battery, battery on a former spouse, fiancé or cohabitant and child endangerment involving unjust pain and suffering.
-Consuelo Garcia, 22, Sept. 14 at 2:13 p.m. on the 100 block of Southgate Court for felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
Driving under the influence
-Ivan Trujillo, 24, Sept. 8 at 1:29 a.m. near the intersection of Mantelli Drive and Zinnia Street for one misdemeanor charge and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.
-Lee Guerrero, 22, Sept. 13 at 5 a.m. near the intersection of Eigleberry and Eighth streets for DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.
-Fermin Neri, 58, Sept. 13 at 5:30 a.m. on an undisclosed portion of Monterey Road for DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.
-Erik Henry, 22, Sept. 13 at 8:08 p.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and San Ysidro Boulevard for DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.

-Eli Corea, 28, Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m. on the 7900 block of Miller Avenue for two charges of possession of a controlled substance, resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer, use of or being under the influence of a controlled substance and re-arrest for a probation violation.

-Ricardo Cid, 32, Sept. 7 at 10:32 p.m. on the 300 block of Mantelli Drive for one felony charge and resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer.
