Crime news

The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes this week, including sodomy with a person younger than 16, possession of a controlled substance for sale, first-degree burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. Arrests were recorded in this week’s GPD blotter from Dec. 2 through 9.
Sex crimes against a minor
-Sergio Lucio, 23, on Dec. 2 at 11 p.m. at the Gilroy Police station located at 7301 Hanna Street for two felony warrants: sodomy with a person younger than 16 and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
Assault with a deadly weapon
-Bruce Gallardo, 39, on Dec. 7 at 4:50 a.m. on the 400 block of Seventh Street for felony assault with a deadly weapon.
-Brianna Gonzalez, 23, on Dec. 9 at 4:40 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey and Sixth streets for felony assault with a deadly weapon.
Domestic violence
-Enrique Vega, 21, on Dec. 4 at 9:23 a.m. on the 7000 block of Eigleberry Street for felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant and felony false imprisonment.
-Bianca Acosta, 28, on Dec. 8 at 11:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Farrell Avenue for felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
Possession of drugs
-Hector Avilamartinez, 22, on Dec. 3 at 11:24 a.m. near the intersection of Murray and IOOF avenues for possession of marijuana over 28.5 grams.
-Lamarr Savory, 30, on Dec. 3 at 11 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey Road and Travel Park Circle for an outstanding warrant for felony possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
-George Shultz, 64, on Dec. 6 at 5:10 a.m. on the 7800 block of Eigleberry Street for a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
-Ethan Fortuna, 23, on Dec. 8 at 4:35 a.m. on the 1400 block of Swallow Lane for felony possession of a narcotic controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and two warrants: felony transportation, sale or furnishing of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Battery
-Rosalio Pineda, 22, on Dec. 5 at 4:40 p.m. on the 400 block of East Las Animas Avenue for a warrant for battery.
-Gus Mata, 58, on Dec. 8 at 4:55 a.m. on the 8100 block of Kelton Drive for battery on a former spouse, fiancé or cohabitant.
Exhibition of speed
-Gregg James, 23, on Dec. 2 at 11:50 a.m. near the intersection of Welburn Avenue and Wayland Lane for exhibition of speed.
Driving violations
-Henry Vasquez, 22, on Dec. 2 at 2:15 p.m. at the Gilroy Police station located at 7301 Hanna Street for a warrant for driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
-Rigoberto Ceja, 28, on Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. at the Gilroy Police station located at 7301 Hanna Street for two warrants: driving with privileges suspended or revoked and not having required lighting.
Petty theft
-Emmalou Bologaita, 20, on Dec. 3 at 12:09 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft.
-Stephanie Keat, 19, on Dec. 3 at 12:16 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft.
-Janelle Lazos, 36, on Dec. 4 at 7:11 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft.
-Jessi Spalldingcastillo, 28, on Dec. 7 at 3:45 a.m. on the 7000 block of Miller Avenue for two warrants: petty theft of personal property and theft.
-Bryan Frayde, 21, on Dec. 7 at 6:55 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft.
Failure to register after conviction
-Jeremy Leach, 36, on Dec. 4 at 10:11 p.m. on the 8400 block of Church Street for failure to register after conviction.
Parole violation
-Manuel Cuevas, 26 on Dec. 6 at 5:05 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 101 and 10th Street for felony parole violation. 
Trespassing
-Scott Graham, 45, on Dec. 8 at 4:54 p.m. near the intersection of First Street and Westwood Drive for a warrant for trespassing by entering land to injure property.
Contempt of court
-Edward Doughty, 53, on Dec. 8 at 5:05 p.m. on the 8800 block of Lilly Avenue for contempt of court.
Vandalism
-Jose Herrera, 20, on Dec. 9 at 1:40 p.m. at the Gilroy Police station located at 7301 Hanna Street for a warrant for vandalism with damages less than $400.
Multiple charges
-Aldo Gonzalez, 32, on Dec. 2 at 2:28 a.m. near the intersection of Rancho Hills and Longmeadow drives for a felony parole violation, felony transportation, sale or furnishing a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance for sale, felony evasion of a peace officer, resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Michael Gonzalez, 49, on Dec. 2 at 4:23 p.m. on the 8200 block of Kelton Drive for felony destroying or injuring a jail, a prison or public property and battery on a former spouse, fiancé or cohabitant.
-Jade Davis, 27, on Dec. 4 at 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Pacheco Pass Highway and Camino Arroyo for felony forgery, felony possession of forged paper, felony conspiracy to commit a crime, felony burglary in the first degree, petty theft with a value under $50 and a warrant for petty theft.
-Tamera Link, 31, on Dec. 4 at 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Pacheco Pass Highway and Camino Arroyo for felony burglary in the first degree, felony conspiracy to commit a crime and felony possession of forged paper.
-Ralph Ortez, 33, on Dec. 5 at 4:50 a.m. on the 400 block of Eden Street for two counts of contempt of court, a felony parole violation, a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant for resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer.
-Richard Valenzuela, 33, on Dec. 5 at 5 a.m. on the 8500 block of Wren Avenue for two felony warrants: manufacture or sale of metal knuckles and possession of a controlled substance.
-Jose Rosales, 35, on Dec. 6 at 5:15 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 101 and 10th Street for three warrants: contempt of court, petty theft and petty theft of personal property.
-Stacy Reggiani, 33, on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. on the 8800 block of Lilly Avenue for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, a warrant for second degree burglary and two warrants for possession of a controlled substance.
-Mario Fierro, 36, on Dec. 7 at 11:35 a.m. near the intersection of Mantelli Drive and Floral Street for felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
-Manuel Rocha, 35, on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. on the 800 block of First Street for felony parole hold and being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
