Possession of forged documents

Carlos Bryand, 31, of Hollister, 11:30 a.m. Monday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on a warrant.

Public intoxication

Alberto Santillan, 44, of Hollister, 2:05 p.m. Monday, the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on a warrant.

Ellsworth Degroat, 62, transient, 7:40 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 10th and Alexander streets, on warrants for being under the influence of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

Driving without a license

Carlos Lemus, 25, of the 4000 block of Redwood Road, 3:35 p.m. Monday, near the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Hecker Pass Highway for failure to stop and driving without a license.

Petty theft

Pennie Morales, 20, of the 800 block of Sorrento Driver, 9:14 p.m. Nov. 30, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo.

Battery

Jeffrey Allen, 46, of Hollister, 9:37 a.m. Tuesday, at 30 Monte Vista Way.

Other GPD incidents

Commercial burglary

Stone-working tools were stolen from a business on an undisclosed address on Murray Avenue, about 4:30 Friday. The perpetrator or perpetrators cut a lock to get into a tool shed.

Grand theft

Copper wire was stolen from an air-conditioning unit, which was also vandalized, at a building on Muraoka Drive, between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Monday.

Residential burglary

A rifle, a shotgun and jewelry were stolen from a residence on an undisclosed address on Orchard Drive, between 4:30 a.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Monday.

Auto burglary

A cell phone and a purse were stolen from an unlocked Chevrolet Cavalier parked on an undisclosed address on Wentz Drive, between 9 and 9:30 p.m. Monday.
