Stolen vehicle

A 1997 blue Honda Accord was reported stolen on Armand Court, 6:13 a.m. Friday.

A 1997 Green Honda Civic four-door with license plate no. 5XTb261 was stolen from the Wal-Mart parking lot overnight, 6:53 a.m. Friday.

Commerical burglary

A thief or thieves broke the front window of a business on Monterey Street and attempted to remove bottles of liquor between 9 p.m. Thursday and 7:20 a.m. Friday.

Conterfeiting

An unidentified person attempted to use a conterfeit $20 bill at the Goodwill store on First Street, 4:32 p.m. Friday. The suspect fled before police arrival.

Weapons

An unidentified person got into a verbal arguement with two other unidentified people at 7-Eleven, 2:08 a.m. Saturday. The first person pushed a second person, then brandished either a rifle or shotgun, pointed at the two people and fled the scene.

Vandalism

A vandal or vandals drove a vehicle across the lawns and baseball field at Christmas Hill Park and the Gilroy Sports Park, damaging the lawns and fields between 5 p.m. Jan. 6 and 6:55 a.m. Jan. 7.

A vandal or vandals damaged the interior of a vehicle on IOOF Avenue, 11:38 a.m. Saturday. The victim believes it was his brother.

Assault

A case of domestic violence with very minor visible injury and no complaint of pain was reported on Alexander Street, 9:27 a.m. Friday.

Fraud

Someone made an online report of a prior fraud with no suspect information, 6 a.m. Jan. 29. The unknown criminal used the account number on false checks and cashed $34.95. The bank closed the account and refunded the money.
