A female was walking north on Hanna Street and saw a Hispanic
adult male walk to a vehicle, open the door and remove a hand gun
from the vehicle, 9:34 a.m. Tuesday. He then pointed the handgun at
the victim. She continued walking and turned west onto Fourth
Street. The suspect never spoke a word to her.
Stolen vehicle

A thief stole a 2007 red Ford F15 from Severance Street, 4:02 a.m. Tuesday.

ID theft

A person from Southern California discovered that a thief used a social security number to gain employment in Gilroy Jan. 1.

A thief used a Mantelli Drive resident’s social security number to open an electrical utilities account in Texas, between June 1 and Oct. 31.

An unknown thief or thieves stole four pair of sunglasses valued at $1,155 from Solistic Sunglasses, 681 Leavesley Road, 5:20 p.m. Jan. 18.

Recovered vehicle

Gilroy police assisted Morgan Hill police Jan. 20 with the recovery of a 1993 Nissan that had been reported stolen from Morgan Hill Jan. 19.

Animal bite

An unidentified person was bitten by an animal on Kern Avenue, 3 p.m. Jan. 11.

Aggressive animals

An unidentified person reported aggressive dogs on Summerhill Circle, 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
