Police Blotter: Recent arrests made in Gilroy and Morgan Hill

A woman hit and kicked her ex-husband and threw water on her
ex-husband’s girlfriend at 10:05 a.m. Saturday on Monterey Street.
Nobody had any injuries and the woman left before the police
arrived.
Weapons

A .22 cal Remington rifle was found under a man’s mattress during a probation search at 10:22 a.m. Friday.

Fraud

A woman left her purse at Elite Barber at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 1. After realizing it was missing, she called her bank and discovered her credit cards had been used at various locations to charge $985.

Petty theft

A woman had her wallet stolen from her shopping cart while at Michaels on Camino Arroyo at 4:30 p.m. Friday. The wallet contained various credit cards, a checkbook, a few dollars in cash, a social security card, a Kaiser medical benefits card and a Costco card.

Some people entered a store, distracted the clerk and stole some beer at 1:31 a.m. Saturday on First Street. Three 18-packs of Budweiser beer and a 12-pack of Tecate beer, totaling $54 was stolen.

A woman reported her purse stolen on San Ysidro Avenue at 1 p.m. Saturday. A credit card was used to purchase fuel.

The front and rear license plates from a 1992 White Mercury were stolen between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday.

Assaults

A person was punched several times in the head on Travel Park Circle at 8:24 p.m. Friday. The suspect was gone when the police arrived.

Someone was struck on the head with a crystal object on Wren Avenue at 4:42 Sunday. The suspect left the scene.

Domestic disturbance

A woman hit and kicked her ex-husband and threw water on her ex-husband’s girlfriend at 10:05 a.m. Saturday on Monterey Street. Nobody had any injuries and the woman left before the police arrived.

Stolen vehicle

Two Honda dirt bikes were stolen from the 700 block of First Street sometime between Thursday and Saturday.

Grand theft

A person on Murray Avenue let someone else borrow a Playstation 3 about six months ago and the person refuses to give the game system back. It is worth $499. The case is going to the district attorney.

An unlocked vehicle parked in the alley between Gurries Drive and First Street was broken into between 1:40 and 1:45 p.m. Saturday. The woman noticed two Hispanic males walking away from her vehicle when she returned. A small tan purse and its contents, including $1,487 in cash and six gift cards totaling $300, was stolen.

Counterfeit

A person attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill while at the Van Huesen outlet store at 6:53 p.m. Saturday. Store personnel recognized the bill as fake prior to tendering the transaction. The bill was retained and later turned over to the police for evidence.

Residential burglary

A woman on Tennyson Drive advised Wells Fargo called her that someone was trying to pass her checks at 6:11 p.m. Saturday. When Wells Fargo provided the person’s name, she realized it was the same person who was passing fraudulent checks in a prior case.

Noise disturbance

A complaint was signed against a neighbor for a car alarm being a disturbance on West Sixth Street at 1:27 a.m. Sunday.

No injury accident

A runaway vehicle collided with a light pole on First Street near Miller Avenue at 2:42 p.m. Sunday.

Lost property

A woman was shopping on the 700 block of First Street and left her purse in the shopping cart at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. She called the business and they told her the purse was not turned in.
