Police released an image of Joe Manuel Salcido, a suspect in a
stabbing at an apartment complex on Taft Court Thursday night. He
is wanted for attempted murder and is considered armed and
dangerous.

When officers arrived at the east Gilroy apartment complex about 8 p.m. Thursday, they learned the victim was taken to an area hospital. The victim’s were not considered life threatening, police said.
The incident began when Salcido entered the residence in an apartment complex, looking for the victim, police said. Upon finding the man, a confrontation erupted, and the victim was stabbed. Salcido fled the scene on foot.
Witnesses said Salcido, a Hispanic male about 26 years old, was wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.
