SAN MARTIN – Police investigators are searching South County for Enrique “Chino” Macias, the 26-year-old alleged Norteño gang member accused of stabbing two teenagers outside a party in San Martin Sunday evening.

Both teens involved in the stabbing incident, a 16- and 17-year-old, were admitted to Saint Louise Regional Hospital Sunday evening with multiple stab wounds and later lifeflighted to San Jose Medical Center, where one teen required surgery to repair his wounds and the other needed only stitches. Both have since been released from the hospital.

There is still no recognizable motive for the attack, and police believe Macias is hiding out in South County.

The stabbing occurred Sunday night in the 80 block of East San Martin Avenue when the two teens and a friend where allegedly attacked by Macias when arriving at a party. Macias allegedly began stabbing one of the teens when he got out of a car and the other teen – who was the driver of the car – when he got out and tried to control Macias. Macias then allegedly fled when a third teen emerged from the backseat. The teens drove themselves to the hospital.

Macias is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 178 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
