For the second time in a week the Christopher baseball team beat Palma.
It was almost the same result, but this time the Cougars won at home, 7-4, against their league opponents.Â
Palma scored three runs to start the game, but Christopher answered with three of its own in both the first and second innings as well as one in the third.
Makaio Duyao was the winning pitcher, throwing three and two-thirds innings and allowing four runs on five hits, walking two and striking out three.
Kevin Willard went 1 for 3 with RBIs for the Cougars, while Brennan Wilson was 2 for 4 with an RBI and run scored.
Christopher (3-2, 2-0) will host Monte Vista Christian at 4 p.m. today.Â
Balers best Mustangs
Gilroy’s skid continued with a 12-5 loss at San Benito Thursday.

Cougars edge Monterey
Monterey was good, but Christopher was better.

BOYS TENNIS
Pacific Grove tops Christopher
Christopher was only able to muster up one win at Pacific Grove Thursday.
No. 2 singles player Geoffrey He fought off his PG opponent to notch the lone ‘W’ for the Cougars in their 6-1 loss.
He won 7-5, 6-3.
Destin Cockcroft battled, but was unable to pick up a win at the No. 1 singles position. He lost 4-6, 6-7. Dominic Nguyen also lost at the No. 3 position 1-6, 5-7, while the No. 4 slot was forfeited due to not having a full roster.
The No. 1 doubles team of Tom Madruga and Jesus Velasquez battled, but ultimately fell 3-6, 3-6. The No. 2 team of James Abundis and Alex Bardick also lost 2-6, 4-6 and the No. 3 double match was forfeited.Â
The Cougars (2-2, 1-1) will host Monte Vista Christian at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
