Dear Editor,
I am outraged at the response to the Hurricane Katrina disasters that have happened in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. Where is all the help at? How come President Bush didn’t deploy a huge response to the aftermath of this tragedy.
This is a disgrace to the American people. The president is a disgrace for not trying to organize a solution to this obvious problem sooner – like the first day it happened.
Isn’t it ironic that the same people who voted for the war are now homeless and without electricity. What are they going to do now? No one deserves to lose his or her home. But where was the help at, right in their own backyards here at home?
Now the country there looks like Iraq now. But the president is acting too late. No one should end up like this. Maybe now the American people will wake up and see the government for what they are – a bunch of ripoffs just like the looters they say they will pursue.
Forget these people. Desperate people will do any thing to survive no matter what administration is in charge. I don’t blame them at all. Just look what’s going to happen now. What are they going to do – kill the looters? I bet they would if they could.
