Rafael Tizoc Trevino-Marquez known as Gordo to family and friends was born on February 28, 1979. At a young age he was precocious, adventurous, loving, and he touched everyone that he met. He was reciting poems at the age of three and later as a teen and adult wrote the most beautiful poems. One day he decided he would give them all away and share them with the world—that was part of his giving spirit. As he took his daily walks, he greeted anyone who crossed his path with a big smile. He attended Gilroy High School, Gavilan and Cabrillo College. It has broken our hearts to lose him but he didn’t go alone for part of us went with him the day God called him home.
Gordo is survived by his parents Ralph and Shirley. His brothers Javier and Esteban. His loving son Tyler. His niece Lailah. His many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He will forever be in our hearts.
