 On Wednesday, July 31, 2013, Ralph A. Lico passed away at Stanford Hospital after a five year battle with cancer. He was born on May 27, 1944 in Watsonville to Joseph and Lena Lico.
 The family moved to Hollister when he was three years old to pursue farming. He attended Sacred Heart and Hollister High and was an active member of the FFA, Los Amigos and the Baler football team in his youth. Ralph enjoyed the outdoors, singing and barbeques. He was fluent in Italian and Spanish and showed off these skills whenever possible.
 He had a larger than life personality and commanding presence. With a huge heart and hands to match, he was always ready to help a friend in need. In the last years of his life, his ranch in Nevada was a source of much happiness.
 He is survived by his wife, DeeJaye Kohrs Lico, his children, Elizabeth Gottfried, Kimberly Parra, Anthony (Lena) Lico, Brandi (Tony) Solorio, Jennifer Lico and Rich! ard Lico. His grandchildren, Kaylah Eckelman, Kalvan Kimple, Nathan Parra, Nickolas Solorio and Grace Lico. His sisters, Angelina (Jim) DeRosa and Clementine Jones along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
 He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Lico and Mother, Lena Lico.
