Daniel Beckwith scored 15 points Wednesday as AYOOO snapped a two-game losing streak in the Men’s Spring Basketball League by outlasting NAYTIBZ 49-43 at Solorsano Gym.
Billy Heard came up with 13 of his 14 points in the second half as AYOOO (1-2) rallied from a 23-17 halftime deficit.
Mark Baladad hit three 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 14 points for NAYTIBZ (1-2). Daryl Baladad followed with 11 points, Van Ryan Mendoza nine points for the losers.
Hard Ninety (3-0) remained unbeaten with a 61-50 win over Recology.
Frankie Tomasetti worked inside for 19 points to lead the Hard Ninety offense. J.T. Tipton struck for 15 points, Jesse Mejia 10 and Sig Reynisson nine for Hard Ninety. Dolapo Opere poured in 24 points for Recology (1-2). Tony Travis netted his 12 Recology points in the second half.
PB4L reached 2-1 in the 10-game season by topping the Shredders, 66-45.
Vince Bautista hit four 3-pointers in the first half while pacing the winners with 21 points. Tyler Ruiz came up with 18 points, Michael Moisa 13 and Anthony Butler 11 for PB4L. LaMont Chappell produced 10 points, Saleem Vakili eight for the Shredders.
