Aaron Muro and Charlie Gutierrez each homered Friday as Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors moved to 3-0 atop the Men’s CC Softball League standings with a 23-12 victory over AG Construction at Las Animas Park.
Benji Sanchez sparked an eight-run seventh inning with a RBI-triple for the Floormen. Luis Garcia went 4-for-4 for AG Construction.
Still in Men’s CC action, Inked Tattoo is second at 2-0 after its 23-15 decision over the Stud Muffins. Pablo Perez went 4-for-5 for the winners. Trini Cruz hit two Stud Muffin home runs.
The Battle Brothers (1-1) outlasted Cypress Hill Concrete 9-8 as Joe Woods scored three runs. Juan Gutierrez went 3-for-3 for Cypress Hill.
In a Men’s C League tilt Thursday, Team Talamo stopped DS Builders 22-7 to move within one game of first place.
Joel Lopez lined five hits and Art Esquer and Humberto Quintero each scored four runs for Talamo (2-2). Eddie Adame homered for DS Builders (3-1), which suffered its first loss.
Team Xtreme turned back En Tu Cara 17-15 to improve to 3-0 in Co-Rec D play Sunday. Kenny Dominic (4-for-5) and Danielle Payne each scored in the top of the final inning to snap a 15-15 tie. Johnny Castaneda and Jimmy Castaneda Jr. each scored three En Tu Cara runs.
Anritsu (2-1) topped No Glove No Love 13-8 behind a double and two singles by both Alex Lopez and Cesar Lopez. Vicki Velasquez doubled and singled for the Glove.
Team Rush scored seven runs in the first inning and held on to defeat Hi-Energy Networks 12-8 in Co-Rec C action Sunday at Christmas Hill Park. Gabe Hernandez scored three runs for Rush (2-1). Marco Lopez homered and Jordan Regallo went 3-for-3 for 1-2 Hi-Energy Networks.
Out to Play (2-1) defeated Kay’s Kids 10-4 as Joel Garcia homered. Greg Lucio went 3-for-3 for Kay’s Kids (1-2).
The Lost Boyz (3-0) defeated Sons of Thunder 23-2 in Men’s E play Thursday. Tucker Baksa went 3-for-5 and scored four Lost runs. Mario Flores and Rudy Tellez scored Sons of Thunder runs.
JR Hernandez went 6-for-6 and scored five runs as Claddagh topped the Bombers 24-7. Damien Hemphill scored two Bomber runs.
John Jimenez doubled and singled in an eight-run seventh as Heinzen Manufacturing stopped the Loco Boys 16-11. Jimmy Castaneda scored three Loco runs.
VFW Bingo edged No Soup 4 You 14-13 as Juan Zavala scored four runs. Paul Garcia and Johnny Castaneda each scored three runs for the Soup.
