Don’t forget – you can start your Independence Day celebration early with the Freedom Fest Freedom Run early in the morning July 4, just before the downtown parade. 
The Freedom Run includes three events starting at different times – the Kid’s One-Mile Run starting at 7:45 a.m.; the 5K walk starting at 8 a.m.; and the 5K run starting at 8:15 a.m. 
The running starts at P.A. Walsh Elementary school, at 353 West Main Ave.,  just before the Freedom Fest Car Cruise and parade, so runners and walkers can expect a big audience to cheer them on. 
Runners and walkers can register online at www.active.com, or at www.mhfreedomfest.com. 
You can also register on race day at 6:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.
