Signups for the City of Gilroy Recreation Department’s fall softball league and Garlic X Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament are now open.Â
REC SOFTBALL
Registration for the 2015 Fall Softball Program is open at the Gilroy Rec Department.
The eight-game season will consist of leagues for men’s, women’s and co-rec slowpitch teams. The deadline to register is July 30 at 4:30 p.m.
A complete roster and $360 entry fee are needed to register and players must be 18 or older to play. For more info or questions call (408) 846-0460.
GARLIC X TOURNAMENTÂ
Team registration is being accepted at the Gilroy Recreation Department, 7351 Rosanna Street, for the 10th annual Garlic X Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament at 10 a.m. Aug. 1 at the Gilroy Senior Center.
The one-day tournament, featuring four-person teams playing at different tables, is a fundraiser for many City of Gilroy programs, including youth scholarships, the youth center and senior activities. This is the 50th in a series of Texas Hold ‘Em Tournaments offered throughout the year.
A minimum of nine tables of players is expected. The Final Table will conclude at approximately 3 p.m.. Team and individual honors will be announced.
A $60 entry fee and a roster are needed to enroll by the July 27 deadline. This recreational event is open to men and women ages 18 and over. Further information is available at (408) 846-0460.
