Taylor Slattery scored twice and August Gomez added another goal to lift Gilroy High’s girls soccer team to a 3-0 home win over Salinas on Wednesday.
Maggie Trigo, Samantha Gonzalez and Alexi Slattery had assists for the Mustangs.
Christopher 1, Watsonville 1 – Paulina Llamas scored on a free kick from 10 yards outside the box to give the visiting Cougars the lead, but Watsonville scored on a free kick with about 10 minutes left to tie the match.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Monterey 64, Christopher 63 – Andrew Foster scored 21 points, but the Cougars lost on the road as the Toreadores staged a late rally.
Wyatt Rocheleau, Dillon Day and Shane Suttles added 12 points each for Christopher.
