Steven Huerta has successfully completed California Highway Patrol cadet training. He has been assigned to duty at the CHP’s Oakland area office.
Huerta, of Hollister, is a 2005 graduate of San Benito High School. He attended Gavilan College and was employed by the Hollister Youth Alliance prior to joining the CHP.

Eric Nicholas Caltabiano-Kemp was born Nov. 24, 2009 at Saint Louise Regional Hospital to Danielle Caltabiano and Eric Kemp of Hollister. He weighed 8 pounds.

Gimenez/Anderson
Todd Gimenez and Katie Anderson were married July 24, 2009.
Todd, son of Paul and Pam Gimenez of Gilroy, is a police officer. He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from UC San Diego.
Katie, daughter of Phill and Sarah Anderson of Escondido, is a fifth grade teacher. She received a bachelor’s degree in human development from UC San Diego.
The couple had a private ceremony in San Jose with their parents and their closest friends. They now reside in Santa Clara.
Gimenez/Burton
Chris Gimenez and Kellie Burton were married Nov. 7, 2009.
Chris, son of Pam and Paul Gimenez, is a professional baseball player and attended the University of Nevada, Reno.
Kellie, daughter of Karen and Larry Burton, is a sales and marketing zone manager for Ford Motor Company. She attended the University of Nevada, Reno.
The couple married on a beautiful fall afternoon at Winchester Country Club in front of their closest family and friends. They now reside in Dublin.
ENGAGEMENT
Shimer/Replogle
Pat Shimer is happy to announce the engagement of her daughter Betsy Shimer to Justin Replogle. Betsy and Justin are graduates of San Benito High School. Betsy has a bachelor’s degree in marine biology from the University of California, Los Angeles while Justin has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
The two are presently pursing master’s of science degrees in their fields. Betsy is studying in California, while Justin is studying in North Carolina. After they marry, the couple plan to work and reside in California.
