HONORS: Nicolette Sheridan
Air Force Airman Nicolette A. Sheridan graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Sheridan is the daughter of Kelly Martin of Gilroy, and Dan Miller of San Jose, and is a 2010 graduate of Ann Sobrato High School.
Emily Perino
Emily Perino, a native of Gilroy, recently appeared on the nationally televised “Christmas at Belmont” concert on PBS. Hosted by internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves and taped at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, more than 800 student musicians joined the Belmont School of Music faculty and the Nashville Children’s Choir for the taping of “Christmas at Belmont.”
Ranked No. 7 in the Regional Universities South category and named for the fifth consecutive year as one of the top “Up-and-Comer” universities by U.S. News & World Report, Belmont University consists of approximately 6,900 students who come from every state and more than 25 countries.
