HONORS: Ayoung Kim: Ayoung Kim of Morgan Hill, a Northeastern University student majoring in pharmacy, was recently named to the university’s dean’s list for the fall semester, which ended in December 2011.
In addition to achieving distinction through the dean’s list, Ayoung Kim is a member of the University Honors Program, which offers high caliber students the chance to further hone their studies and interests, live in special interest on-campus housing, and participate in one or two honors courses each term.
Invitation into the honors program is highly competitive and students must maintain a high GPA and strong commitment to campus leadership to remain a part. Currently, Kim is among some 1,400 students involved in Northeastern’s honors program.

Stuart Bettencourt
Stuart Bettencourt, San Martin 4-H, competed Feb. 11 at Santa Clara County Presentation Day, where he did an illustrated talk entitled “The Living Frame, How to plant a succulent garden.” He was with 32 other presenters. Stuart won the highest award, a gold. March 31 he goes to UC Davis to compete at the state level.

Allison Marie Albarran was born March 8, 2012 at Saint Louise Regional Hospital to Katie and Jose Albarran of Gilroy. She weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces.
