San Martin – An arraignment for Graciela Plascencia, 30, of San Jose was postponed Friday. She is charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence after allegedly causing a deadly Labor Day weekend crash. She is now scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 15. She remains in custody on $500,000 bail.

Plascencia was driving home with two friends early Sept. 6 after a night of drinking in San Jose, when she headed the wrong way down northbound U.S. 101, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Her 1999 Nissan Altima collided head-on with a 1993 Nissan Altima, killing San Jose resident Rosalia Carillo, 45, who was riding in the 1993 Altima, and injuring the driver and other two passengers.

The collision occurredsouth of the San Martin Avenue exit, although it remains unclear where Plascencia got on northbound 101 heading south about 3:30 that morning.
