Gilroy – Police have released a sketch of one of two men wanted for the armed robbery of paraphernalia store Rock Zone in mid-July.

Two unknown men armed with pepper spray, entered the store located on 1323 1st St., at 5:38pm July 16, when the second man armed with pepper spray took an undetermined amount of cash from an employee, Gilroy Police Detective Marty Beltran said. The first man is the one in the composite sketch.

“He basically held them up with pepper spray,” Beltran said.

Beltran said the men also took various pipes and fled on foot. No damage was done to the store, he said.

The first man is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, and about 220 pounds, Beltran said. He has black hair, brown eyes, and is about 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a plaid, long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans. He has blemishes and facial acne scars.

The second man is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and about 200 pounds. He has brown hair, eyes of unknown color and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and a black-hooded jacket.
