I want to clarify the quote that was used in your recent article and headline on the proposed changes to Gilroy’s Residential Developmet Ordinance point system.
The question asked was specific to the proposal to directly award RDO points in exchange for cash contributions, not the overall point system, or the many other changes that were proposed, as your headline implied. I used the analogy of a silent auction that did not feel right and assumed that it was understood to be just that: an analogy.
I’ll be more careful with phrasing in the future.
