The Brownell boys soccer has won 15 straight league games dating back to last season and is 3-0 so far this year, including an 8-0 victory over Martin Murphy Middle School on Tuesday.

“The entire team contributed to this win,” coach Trudy Souza said.

Goalies Joseth Verdiquel and Francisco Hernandez combined for their second shutout of the season.

Andrew Jimenez scored first dribbling through the defense and firing a rocket shot from the top of the goalie box. Alan Hermosillo was next to break through the defense and add to the lead.

Antony Ambriz served up a long ball and connected with Jacob Liberatore and Alex Flores assisted on the next two goals finished by David Solorzano and Hermosillo.

Later, Jacob Liberatore centered the ball and found Jimenez for the header, which he deposited in the back of the net. Efren Pineda and Ambriz attacked from the back line for the final two goals.

Brownell faces Solorsano on Thursday at Christmas Hill Park. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
