Paulina Llamas scored three goals and Alora Estrada added two goals to lead Christopher’s girls soccer team to an 8-0 win over visiting Kirby on Tuesday.
Paulina Sanchez and Gina Rodriguez also scored for the Cougars (5-2), who got three assists from Natalie Filippi.
Emma Morley and Carly McTolin also assisted on goals for Christopher, and goalkeeper Lauren Ginn earned a shutout.
“We’ve improved on controlling the ball instead of trying to push it up too quickly,” Cougars coach Chip Beardsley said.
BOYS SOCCER
Gilroy 2, Oak Grove 0 – Andres Jimenez had one goal and one assist to highlight a home win by the Mustangs (5-2) over the Eagles.
Jimenez scored his second goal in as many matches in the 27th minute off a cross from Lorenzo Faria, and Jimenez assisted Mario Rubelcava inside the 18-yard box with about 15 minutes left.
Gilroy was playing its third match in a span of five days.
