the Cougars took care of business against the host Grizzlies,
pounding out 16 hits in a 14-0 victory in five innings.
Step 1 this week was to beat Seaside. Step 2, don’t let up against Pajaro Valley. The Christopher High softball team accomplished both tasks and sit one win away from a playoff berth.

Marizza Lucio spearheaded the hit parade, recording a 4-for-4, three RBI day at the plate. Kristen Dennis went 3-for-3, While Kaslin Ettema, Aly Olvera and Mariza Rodriguez had two hits apiece.
Angelica Carrillo stepped into the circle and tossed a two-hit shutout for the win.
The Cougars’ (15-9-1 overall, 8-3 Monterey Bay League) final roadblock to the postseason is Watsonville on Tuesday.
