The Dr. Tommy Tong Orthodontics Thunder followed up an undefeated 17-0 regular season in the Gilroy Little League Juniors Softball division by running the table at the District 59 Tournament of Champions.
With clutch hitting by Mack Mitchell, Adrianna Ortega, Sol Mendez and Clarissa Quesada, the Thunder made it through the talented field and took on Next Level of San Jose in the final.
Holly Lam, who along with Nicole Green anchored the Thunder’s pitching staff, tossed a one-hit, 12 strikeout gem as the Thunder shut out Next Level, 5-0, to claim the championship.
