The culture is slowly changing at Gilroy High and standards have been set high for the Mustangs' football program.

GILROY—A little more than a year ago, Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero presented 12-year-old Caley Camarillo with a miniature WBC World Title belt that made her beam from ear to ear. The belt was a symbol of Camarillo’s strength as she battled cystic fibrosis, the disease that ultimately claimed her life in June 2014.

The phrase “taking it easy” isn’t in the vocabulary of Christopher High’s Jacob Moen and Tiffany Roberts.

GILROY—The second-division teams were victorious on June 3 as the Men’s E League program moved into its seventh week of play at Christmas Hill Park.

Practice for all Christopher High freshman interested in playing football begins June 15 at 4 p.m. Athletes are to meet Coach Daley and his staff in front of the weight room at the high school.

The Gilroy High football program will hold its first day of practice for all incoming freshman at 5:15 p.m. Monday.

GILROY—HD Auto Glass Players scored five runs in the seventh inning to trim Cold Pop 15-12 in Wednesday Men’s E Softball League action at Christmas Hill Park.
