GILROY—Jana Eastus is a lot of things. She’s a mother of two, a trainer at Gilroy’s NetFitness gym, a former gymnast and an emergency room worker at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. Now, Eastus can add a CrossFit title to her resume, too.
Week 6 Picks
Nathan came away with a big win, going 8-3 this week followed by Erin at 7-4. They can thank Gilroy High for beating Watsonville and separating them from the rest of the pack. Cheeto had the next best finish, going 6-5. Scott and Emanuel brought up the rear as both went 5-6. Our season standings so far: 1. Prep Football: Cougars raising money for breast cancer awareness
GILROY—Every October, football players around the country add some pink to their uniform to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Companies such as Nike and Under Armour design pink socks, gloves, towels and mouthguards—among other things—and donate part of the proceeds to breast cancer research foundations.

Seven Gilroy-area runners finished in the Top 10 at the Monterey Bay League Center Meet II Wednesday at Toro Park.
