GILROY—Every October, football players around the country add some pink to their uniform to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Companies such as Nike and Under Armour design pink socks, gloves, towels and mouthguards—among other things—and donate part of the proceeds to breast cancer research foundations.

Seven Gilroy-area runners finished in the Top 10 at the Monterey Bay League Center Meet II Wednesday at Toro Park.

Gavilan was swept for just the third time this season, this time at the hands of Cabrillo.

Josue Salgado and Lachlan Moye both found the net for Gavilan Tuesday, but it wasn't enough to lift them past Canada College. 

The Christopher girls golf team topped San Benito Monday and it did it without two of its starters. 

As the season rolls on, the Cougars keep getting better.

Hibsen Tamayo-Davila scored four goals for Gavilan to lead it to its second win of the season.
