GILROY—Every October, football players around the country add some pink to their uniform to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Companies such as Nike and Under Armour design pink socks, gloves, towels and mouthguards—among other things—and donate part of the proceeds to breast cancer research foundations.
