Prep Football: Christopher juggernaut too much for Sobrato in season opener
MORGAN HILL—Whatever questions swirled around Christopher this season and its loss of key players due to graduation blew harmlessly away Saturday.
JUCO Football: Gavilan falls 56-6 to Shasta in opener
REDDING—Gavilan dropped its 2015 season opener 56-6 at Shasta College Saturday. The loss was due in part to too many penalties and not enough yards.
Prep Football: Live Oak blasts past Gilroy 42-6 in opener
GILROY—Live Oak wanted to get its season off to a fast start. And after Friday night’s 42-6 win opening night win over Gilroy at Christopher High, the Acorns can safely say it was a mission accomplished.

The Christopher girls volleyball team got its season off to a strong start, sweeping Sobrato 3-0 Thursday at home. The Cougars downed the Bulldogs 25-17, 25-23, 25-20.
