Dear Editor,

On June 18 and 19, the Gilroy Community will be holding its Eighth Annual Relay For Life. This is just a reminder for those of you who have not signed up that it is never to late to do so.

As we all know, our day to day lives are full of many different things that need to be done and often find it hard to do the things that we find most important in our lives. This year due to other celebrations we have lost some of last year’s teams, but we have many new teams that are joining the fight against cancer.

Perhaps the timing doesn’t seem right for you to Relay, but when is the right time? I hope the right time is not when you or a loved one have been inflicted with this deadly disease. We as a community need to join together to help save lives.

Joining the fight against cancer may not be your thing, but remember cancer does not care who you are, age, gender, or race, cancer does not discriminate.

I want you to keep in mind that Relay For Life is also a celebration – a celebration of life, a time we can be thankful that we can all make a difference, a time where we can be thankful for our parents, children, family and friends. So please come and join the celebration on June 18 and 19 at the Christmas Hill Ranch Site.

Anyone interested or would like more information in regards to the Relay can contact me at gi*********@***oo.com.
