Each month, the principals of Gilroy and Christopher high schools choose a total of four students (two from GHS and two from CHS) to spotlight. GHS junior Victor Olmos, 16, is this week’s Student of the Week.
What inspires you?
My family inspires me.
What is your favorite subject in school, and why?
My favorite subject in school is chemistry because I have a great teacher and lab partner. They make class enjoyable and chemistry easy to understand.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be?
I would fix the environment so that future generations could live in a world free of pollution.
If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
I would go to the Roman Coliseum.
Name one big challenge in your life right now:
Balancing my wrestling and academics.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is researching stem cells.
If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things could you not live without?
The Legend of Zelda (a video game), doughnuts, and a good book to read while watching the sunsets on the island.
