Entered into rest on May 19, 2011, at her home with her son, Freddy, at her bedside. Born in Hernandez New Mexico to Benjamin and Felia Maestas.
Preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Rivera; her parents, Benjamin and Felia Maestas; four brothers, Reynel, Frankie, Ernest, and Joe; one sister, Annie Chacon, all of New Mexico. Survived by 1 daughter, Katherine Rivera; three sons Robert, Freddy, and Larry Rivera; five siblings, Porfie Skelton of Albuquerque, NM, Claudine Jaramillo of Espanola, NM, Josie Cross of Marysville, CA, Tommy Barreras of Oroville, CA, and Cordy Lopez of Newark, CA; also 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She worked for Fairchild and retired from National Semiconductor after 29 years. She loved sewing and dancing.
A visitation will take place from 5:00-9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, with a vigil service at 7:00 P.M., both at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Memorial Park.
