What’s outstanding about him:
Saint Mary School’s Teacher of the Week is someone who does not have a teaching credential, a classroom or a lesson plan to scrutinize, but we think he is a TEACHER nonetheless. He is Ramon Ramirez, our school’s “Mr.-Fix-It.” Ramon has lived in Gilroy for over 35 years, beginning as a farm worker and winding up as caretaker for Saint Mary Parish. Each year, Ramon diligently prepares the school and grounds for the arrival of over 300 students and staff members. He graciously accepts any task given to him. His service to the school and parish is an inspiration to us all. He is indeed a teacher, one whose lesson is to serve with dignity, dedication and a caring attitude.
