'The Crucible'

Annemarie Hayes as Abigail Williams fuels accusations of witchcraft in Arthur Miller’s ‘The Crucible’ performed by Catamount Actors’ Theatre—the production company of CHS drama. Show dates are Jan. 8, 9, 15, 16 at 7 p.m.
The advanced drama class takes the stage in one of Miller’s most famous works. In this classic drama, rumors that Salem women are practicing witchcraft galvanize the town’s most basic fears and suspicions; and when a young girl accuses Elizabeth Proctor of being a witch, self-righteous church leaders and townspeople insist that Elizabeth be brought to trial. What begins as an organized court proceeding quickly degenerates into a frenzy of accusations that leaves no one above suspicion.
The venue is the Black Box Theatre at Christopher High School, 850 Day Rd., Gilroy. Tickets are $10. For more information contact [email protected] or visit chscat.com.
