On Saturday, Jan. 28, the Cannery Row Foundation conducts its annual “Docs Lab” tours on Cannery Row in honor of Kalisa Moore, the “Queen of Cannery Row” (1926-2009) – on or near her birthday on Jan. 31).

The Foundation also hosts tours on John Steinbeck’s and Ed Ricketts’ birthday weekends each year.

There are hourly tours from 9 a.m. until the last tour that starts at 5 p.m. Cost is $15 per person donation; historians and educators present the history of the Lab, its owner Ed “Doc” Ricketts, and John Steinbeck’s many connections to Pacific Biological Laboratories at 800 Cannery Row, Monterey.
