Morgan Hill police arrested a Tracy man for child molestation almost a decade after the alleged crimes occurred.
In April, a 16-year-old girl told Morgan Hill police that 45-year-old Santy Robillos sexually assaulted her when she was about 6 or 7.
Robillos was a family friend at the time and lived with the girl’s family in Morgan Hill, police said. Upon further investigation, detectives learned the victim’s female friend, a neighbor who was about 9 years old at the time, was also sexually assaulted. The crimes occurred between 2000 and 2002, police said.
With the help of the Tracy Police Department, the Morgan Hill Special Operations Team served a search warrant Sept. 20 at Robillos’ home on Kavanagh Avenue in Tracy. Detectives seized numerous items of evidence and arrested Robillos for lewd acts on a child under 14.
Police booked Robillos into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office charged Robillos with four counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14 and one count of continuous sexual assault on a child.
