GILROY – Trevino Brothers Construction clinched at least a tie for the Men’s Fall E League regular-season title Thursday by edging VFW Bingo 15-14 at Las Animas Park.

Trevino Brothers struck for five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to improve to 5-2 and send VFW Bingo to 4-3. Consecutive one-out singles from Pat Kelly, Herman Vasquez, Eric Bettencourt and Matt Corona brought Trevino Brothers within one run at 14-13. Chad King’s sacrifice fly tied the score and two infield errors plated the winning run.

Adam Loria helped the Trevino cause with a three-run home run. Steve Lemberger hit a grand slam and Mike Blundo slapped a single, double and triple for VFW Bingo.

The Borrachos rolled past Da Click 26-4 to also reach 4-3 and second place. Ralph Flores hit two homers, Martin Serrano and Mark Cisneros one apiece for the Borrachos. Santos Correa tripled and Joe Carbajal doubled for Da Click.

Claddagh Brew Crew moved to 4-3 with a 12-11 win over the Good Ole Boys (3-4). Chris Hoiberg’s two-out, two-run single completed a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh for the Crew. Rich Gallardo went 3-for-4 and scored three Claddagh runs. Brian Stelling went 3-for-4 for the Good Ole Boys.

K. C. Adams and Mark Terrill each went 5-for-5 to help Frank Vargas Taxes to a 25-13 Co-Rec Fall B League win over Gamers In Control Sunday.

Monica Pantoja went 4-for-4 and Frank Martinez scored four runs as Vargas Taxes improved to 5-1, tied with Let’s Bang for first place with two games to play in the season. Joel Robinson and AJ Martinez each homered for Gamers In Control (2-5).

Door Expo used 16 hits from their women to power past Hi-Energy Networks 16-2 in Co-Rec C action.

Cristina Bueno went 5-for-5 and Adriano Bueno and Maribel Landeros each delivered four hits for the 6-0 Doors. John Perez went 3-for-5 and scored three Door Expo runs. Aaron Perez and Isaac Sepulveda managed hits off Expo pitcher Benito Landeros.

Blackout Window Tinting is 3-4 in third place at 3-4 after defeating El Fuego 18-3.

Serf Mancera went 4-for-5 for the winners. Francisco Orosco went 3-for-3 and Jolene Carrasco tripled and singled for El Fuego.
