apparent gang-related attack, police said.

Gilroy – Two Watsonville teens were arrested Sunday evening after assaulting two Gilroy men in the parking lot of Togo’s in an apparent gang-related attack, police said.
Jose Miguel Padilla, 19, and Jose Ortiz Diaz, 18, were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and for felony vandalism, after attempting to run the teens over with a car and damaging the front door of the eatery with rocks.
No one was injured.
According to police, the 20-year-old and 17-year-old victims were standing in the parking lot about 5:20pm when two vehicles pulled in and several unknown suspects got out.
After staring at the victims, the suspects began throwing rocks at them, which damaged the front door of Togo’s, police said.
According to Gilroy Police Sgt. Kurt Svardal, one of the cars then tried to run one of the victims over. The victim’s car was also damaged in the assault.
Police stopped one of the vehicles matching the suspects description. They were later identified by the victims.
