Two Hollister men were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of attempted burglary on the 200 block of Matulich Court were arrested on Jan. 6.

A witness saw one suspect attempting to break into the back door while another individual came out of one of the windows in the house and a third suspect waited in a vehicle outside the residence, according to a press release from the Hollister Police Department. The suspects realized someone had seen them and fled the scene. The witness provided police with descriptions of the suspects, a vehicle description and the license plate number, the statement reads.

Juan Carlos Sosa, 21, and Nibarado Juarez, 33, both suspected in the crime, were arrested by police when they found the stolen silver Ford Expedition they used to aid in the burglary. Both were charged on suspicion of felony burglary, and prosecutors also charged Sosa for suspected auto theft.

Police found Sosa sitting in the vehicle parked at Locust Street and Central Avenue, according to police. Juarez attempted to walk away from the scene but was confronted by another officer a short distance away. The unidentified third suspect is still at large.
